The Syrian government is using minors' money to finance its war on the Syrian opposition

On 25 May 2014, the High Sharia judge, Mahmood Al-Marawai, announced that the Ministry of Justice is about to adapt a law to “protect the minors’ money”. This new law will allow the state to seize the money of more than one million minors and orphans deposited in bank accounts as savings and endowments to guarantee them a decent life.
