41,4 مليون طفل حُصّن ضد شلل الأطفال في سوريا خلال الجولة الرابعة!

** أنهى فريق عمل مكافحة شلل الأطفال في سوريا الجولة الرابعة من حملة التلقيح الجوّالة ضد شلل الأطفال في الخامس من نيسان/أبريل الجاري، وبلغ عدد الأطفال الذين تم تلقيحهم خلال الجولة حوالي 1,440,000 طفل، موزّعين على سبع محافظات خلال فترة ستة أيام.

وبلغ عدد الأطفال الملقّحين بالمحافظات وفق البيانات الأولية في حلب 590,000 وفي إدلب 250,000، وفي الرقة 220,000، وفي دير الزور 300,000، وفي الحسكة 35,000، وفي حماة 38,000، وفي اللاذقية 5,000 طفل.

وكان فريق العمل قد أطلق مطلع العام الجاري حملة تلقيح جوالة ضد شلل الأطفال تشمل المناطق الخارجة عن سيطرة نظام الأسد في سبع محافظات وذلك بعد ظهور حالات إصابة بالمرض، وتمتد الحملة الكاملة لست جولات متتالية، أُنجز منها أربع جولات.. الأولى أُنجز فيها تلقيح أكثر من 1,25 مليون طفل؛ والثانية أُنجز فيها تلقيح أكثر من 1,4 مليون طفل؛ والثالثة أُنجز فيها تلقيح أكثر من 1,41 مليون والرابعة أُنجز فيها تلقيح حوالي 1,44 مليون طفل، هذا ويعتزم فريق العمل إطلاق الجولة الخامسة نهاية شهر نيسان/أبريل الجاري.

يذكر أن فريق عمل مكافحة شلل الأطفال تشكّل من تضافر جهود وحدة تنسيق الدعم "ACU" والمجالس المحلية ومجموعة من المنظمات المحلية والدولية غير الحكومية تحت شعار "لننهي شلل الأطفال في سوريا" ويبلغ عدد المتطوعين في الفريق أكثر من 8,000 شخص وبمشاركة مايزيد من 200 طبيب.

** Polio Control Task Force had completed the 4th round of House to House vaccination campaign at April 5th 2014. The number of vaccinated children during this round was about 1,440,000 children distributed on seven governorates within six days.

According to initial data, the number of vaccinated children in Aleppo was 590,000, 250,000 in Idleb, 220,000 in Raqqa, 300,000 in Deir al-Zour, 35,000 in Hasaka, 38,000 in Hama and 5,000 in Lattakia.

The Team had started the House to House vaccination campaign in the beginning of 2014 to covers the areas out of the control of the Assad regime in seven governorates after discovering polio outbreak, the campaign was of six consecutive rounds, out of which four were accomplished.

In the first round, 1,25 million, children had been vaccinated, 1,4 million had been vaccinated in the second round, 1,41 million children had been vaccinated in the third round, 1,44 million children had been vaccinated in the fourth round. The Team intends to launch the fifth round on the end of this April.

Polio Control Task Force was established by combining the efforts of the ACU, Local Councils and a number of None Governmental Local and International Organizations, Polio Control Task Force started “END POLIO IN SYRIA” campaign with more than 8,000 volunteers including more than 200 physicians.
