Description
Syrian Network for Human Rights call for a truce before Geneva 2, and demanding Mr. Brahimi to apply.
As the date set for a planned Geneva II conference between Syrian Regime and opposition is approaching, SNHR calls to implement truce on Syrian territory; fully ceasefires and allow humanitarian and medical aids to reach besieged areas, as a message of peace and goodwill gesture ahead of the conference.
We urge Russia, the main partner of Syria regime who used to commit the greatest part of daily violations by shelling with barrel bombs, long-range missiles, besieging dozens of neighborhoods within different Syrian territories, to press Syria on ceasefire, and provide access for humanitarian aids to reach the besieged areas of Yarmouk refugee camp, southern neighborhoods of Damascus, Eastern and Western neighborhoods, and neighborhoods of old city in Homs.
On the other hand we urge the Active Forces that can affect on armed brigades to practise the same role and apply immediately ceasefire, which should continue all days of conference.
Syrian Network for Human Rights see that the Arab and international envoy Mr. Lakhdar Brahimi is able to do this task, taking advantage of the political momentum, and Arab and international desire to achieve success in Geneva 2.
