Description

At least 170 martyrs were reported today, mostly in Aleppo, Damascus, Deir Ezzor and Idlib as Assad merrily continues his slaughter of the Syrian people. The Air Force is still hard at work flattening parts of Damascus, while Daraya couldn’t escape a day named in it’s honour without being shelled. In Deir Ezzor, there were heavy casualties in al-Mayadin where the FSA tried to take artillery positions being used to bombard the city. The FSA advances in Id
lib province are leaving Assad’s forces in Aleppo increasingly cut-off from the rest of the country. Meanwhile, the Lebanese journalist Fidaa Itani, held by the Northern Storm Battalion has been released and returned home to Beirut. At least 4 foreign journalists are thought to still be in captivity (Cüneyt Ünal, Bashar Fahmi al-Kadumi and Austin Tice being held by the regime, Ankhar Kochneva being held by rebels).
