Description

At least 72 martyrs have been killed today most of them are in Damascus and Aleppo, which has now seen 12 consecutive days of fighting. Despite the counter-attack by Assad’s forces, the FSA has gained more ground inside the city, liberating at least 3 police stations and security branches. Zaino Berri, head of an infamous family of shabiha in Aleppo was caught and executed. We have little sympathy for a thug like Berri, but we are concerned that revenge killings like this not be allowed to spiral out of control. Elsewhere, the shelling on Dier Ezzor, Homs and  Daraa continued. In Damascus clashes continue, with Yarmouk Camp and Tadamun under heavy attack last night and this morning.
