Description

At least 147 martyrs are reported today. In Hama province there was a massacre of up to 30 people in Sahel al-Ghab region when shabiha opened fire on people entering a mosque. In Aleppo the fighting continued to spread through the city, with the regime using tanks, mortars, helicopters and, according to a BBC journalist in the city, fixed wing aircraft to shell rebel positions. In Herak in Daraa province 10 people including 8 kids were killed when their shelter was hit by shelling. Clashes are still going on in several parts of Damascus and Kurdish forces are increasing their control over the north-east. Meanwhile, Lamia al-Hariri the most senior Syrian diplomat in Cyprus has defected and arrived in Qatar. See the map for more info.
