Description

At least 77 martyrs have fallen today, mostly in Damascus and the suburbs, Aleppo and Idlib. For the third day there was heavy fighting in the capital between the FSA and Assad’s forces, who have now deployed helicopters to attack rebellious districts. In the last hours, the regime has withdrawn from the main streets of Midan while clashes are still going on in Nahr Aysheh, Harasta and the eastern suburbs, and Qaboun where the FSA claims they shot down a helicopter. An FSA spokesman has called this the battle to liberate the capital, although it seems the clashes were initiated by the regime in response to the growing FSA presence in the city. Meanwhile, many other towns and cities are also under shelling and please do not forget Homs, where nobody seems interested in saving the lives of hundreds of besieged families.
