1 Missing: Hussain Esau (حسين عيسو)

A statement of solidarity with the Kurdish writer and politician Hussain Esau
There were recently in the media news of the deterioration of the health status of the writer and political Kurdish Syrian Hussein Esau in the cellars of security forces. Hussein Esau has been detained since September,3rd, 2011 without being brought to trial. Some news mentioned that Esau is in a paraplegic state without being able to get the authorities to reveal anything about his fate.


We as  writers, human rights activists and people who are interested in public affairs call on the Syrian authorities to disclose the fate of the political activist and writer Hussein Esau, and we held them fully responsible for any health deterioration of the activist Esau and we call  Syrian, Arab and international organizations to put pressure on the Syrian regime to reveal his fate and release him from detention.

في الآونة الأخيرة وفي وسائل الإعلام المختلفة أخبار عن تردي الوضع الصحي
للكاتب والسياسي الكردي السوري حسين عيسو داخل الأقبية الأمنية، وهو معتقل
منذ تاريخ 3\9\2011 دون أن يقدم إلى المحاكمة، وقد أكدت الأخبار الوارد
بأنه مصاب بشلل نصفي دون أن تكشف السلطات المعنية عن مصيره.

ككتاب ونشطاء حقوق الإنسان ومهتمون بالشأن العام نطالب السلطات السورية
بالكشف عن مصير الناشط السياسي الكاتب حسين عيسو، ونحملها كامل المسؤولية
عن أي تدهور صحي للناشط "عيسو" ونطالب المنظمات السورية والعربية والعالمية
بالضغط على النظام السوري لكشف مصيره والإفراج عنه.
