26 يناير – أصدرت الشبكة السورية لحقوق الإنسان اليوم تقريراً جديداً بعنوان المطر الحارق، يُوثِّق استخدام القوات الروسية للأسلحةً الحارقة 78 مرة في سوريا، وهو ما يُعدُّ انتهاكاً مباشراً للقانون الإنساني الدولي. إنَّ طبيعة ومدى الدور الذي تلعبه روسيا في سوريا هو دليل جديد يؤكِّد استحالةَ إمكانية لَعبِ روسيا دورَ المراقب أو المنفِّذ المحايد لاتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في سوريا، وتُعدُّ الأمم المتحدة الأجدرَ بهذا الدور.
يقول فضل عبد الغني، رئيس الشبكة السورية لحقوق الإنسان: "روسيا هي طرفٌ فاعل في النزاع السوري. ولا يمكن أن تُؤتَمن لِتكونَ المُراقب والمُنفِّذَ لوقف إطلاق النار في سوريا بحيادية. إذا كانت روسيا جادة في إنجاح وقف إطلاق النار، فعليها أن توافق على آليات مراقبة مستقلة ومحايدة تترأسُّها الأمم المتحدة مع وجود مراقبين مُستقلين على الأرض. وسيكون مصير وقف إطلاق النار هو الفشل في حال عدم تحقيق ذلك".
