منهجية التقرير:
منذ عام 2011 حتى الآن مازال النظام السوري لا يعترف بعمليات الاعتقال، بل يتهم بها القاعدة والمجموعات الإرهابية كتنظيم داعش، كما أنه لا يعترف بحالات التعذيب ولا الموت بسبب التعذيب، وتحصل الشبكة السورية لحقوق الإنسان على المعلومات إما من معتقلين سابقين أو من الأهالي، ومعظم الأهالي يحصلون على المعلومات من أقربائهم المحتجزين عبر دفع رشوة إلى المسؤولين الحكوميين.
ونحن في الشبكة السورية لحقوق الإنسان نُشير إلى روايات الأهالي التي تردنا، ونذكر دائماً أن السلطات السورية لا تقوم في كثير من تلك الحالات بتسليم الجثث إلى الأهالي، كما أن الأهالي في الغالب يخافون من الذهاب لاستلام جثث أقربائهم أو حتى أغراضهم الشخصية من المشافي العسكرية؛ خوفاً من اعتقالهم.
