Description
In the afternoon and evening of 13 January 2013 there were two airstrikes in A'zaz in northern Aleppo province near the Turkish border. One airstrike by a Mig with 2 rockets, the second by another aircraft of unspecified type that dropped a barrel bomb. The explosion from the barrel bomb was heard in Kilis, Turkey. Reports of casualties have varied, but all reports say the barrel bomb hit a market. I personally heard both the planes and explosions but cannot verify the number of casualties. Initial reports were of 16 dead, 18 wounded, but that number has increased to 82 dead, about 200 wounded, as reported by residents of A'zaz.
