1 Missing (أحمد حلمي Ahmad Helmi)

Description

Ahmed Helmy, born in 1988, in his second year of a Masters in economics and
finance. A sociable young man who shone with optimism and vitality, whose
smile never left his face when you were with him. He worked for the aid
commission of the Syrian Red Crescent in Dariya that supports the refugees
coming from Homs and ensures that they receive much needed food supplies
and medicines. He also worked as an accountant in the charity in Dariya.
Security forces raided his house on the evening of Sunday 20th May 2012 at
12.45am. They broke the door of his house. They were looking for someone of
a different name. They seized his mobile phone and the hard-drive for his
desktop computer (word processor). Then suddenly his mobile phone could not
be found. (One of the security forces had stolen it.) Attempts to call his
mobile failed as there was no network coverage. They started to demand
Ahmed by his name. They began to search thoroughly for his mobile phone but
of course they did not, nor will not find it as one of them had stolen it.
They threatened his family accusing them of hiding the mobile phone and
before they left the house the security officer said to his mother ‘we had
just wanted him for an hour then to return him to you, but now I swear in
ten years he won’t be back and another one said we will shoot him. His
mother answered: shoot him, what can I do?! God be with him and protect
him. They took him away and flung him away to the darkness of the air force
prison.

Ahmed Helmi is taken from his family in obscure circumstances, without any
reason for the raid on his house, or any justification for his arrest.

أحمد حلمي، من مواليد عام 1988، طالب ماجستير اقتصاد مالي ونقدي في السنة
الثانية، شاب اجتماعي يشع تفاؤلاً وحيوية ولا تفارقه البسمة متى قابلك. يعمل
في اللجنة الإغاثية التابعة لمنظمة الهلال الأحمر السوري في داريا المخصصة في
دعم اللاجئين من مدينة حمص وتأمين مستلزماتهم الغذائية والدوائية. كما يعمل
محاسباً في الجمعية الخيرية في داريا. داهمت قوات الأمن منزله مساء يوم الأحد
في 20/5/2012 عند الساعة الواحدة إلا ربع بعد منتصف الليل، وكسروا باب المنزل
يبحثون عن شخص باسم آخر.. أخدوا جهازه المحمول وصندوق حاسوب مكتبي (المعالج)
ثم تطور البحث ليطلبوه بالاسم بعد أن اختفى جهازه المحمول فجأة، إذ قام أحد
العناصر بسرقة هاتفه، وبعد محاولة الاتصال برقمه تبين أن خطه خارج نطاق
التغطية، وأصبحوا يبحثون عن الهاتف المحمول بالتحديد وبالتأكيد لم ولن يجدوه
طالما أن أحدهم قام بسرقته، وهددوا أفراد العائلة بأنها هي من قامت بإخفاء
الهاتف.. قبل خروجهم من منزله قال ضابط الأمن لوالدته... كان بدنا ياه ساعة
وبيرجع بس هلأ والله بعشر سنين ما عاد يرجع وأعقب آخر.. والله لقوصلك ياه
تحت.. وما كان منها إلا أن قالت.. إي قوصوه شو اعمل يعني!! الله معو والله
يحميه.. وأخرجوه وانطلقوا به إلى غياهب سجون قوات الأمن الجوية..

أحمد حلمي... غّيب عن أهله بطريقة غامضة ودون ذكر أية أسباب لمداهمة المنزل
وسبب اعتقاله ودون أية مبرر.
