A report detailing how the Assad regime broke the agreed ceasefire and
supposed removal of all tanks, checkpoints and military vehicles.

Damascus suburbs on Thursday 12/04/2012

The situation in the suburbs of Damascus remains exactly as it always has
been with checkpoints and military tanks and vehicles filling all parts of
eastern Alghouta. These checkpoints stop and search every single person and
have detained many randomly up till today. The snipers remain spread on the
high building rooftops and not a single soldier was removed from the area
till now.

With regards to the gunfire, the regime shelled Alzabadani leading to 4
injuries.

With regards to the detainees, we still have thousands of youth detained in
the secret-service branches of the regime and we do not know if they are
alive or dead. Some have been detained for more than 7 months now and we
know nothing about them. There are hundreds of youth in the central prison
whose prison sentence has finished but have not been released.

Today in Madaya, the funeral of martyr Mohamad Hussein Alnamoos took place
- he died under torture while in detention, with many like him.
