  Homs: Summary of Events, Monday, November 7, 2011 Eid night...spent listening to the song of gunfire sung by Bashar Homs spent the first night of Eid listening to the sound of gunfire, sound bombs to terrorize people, and real bombs too. In each of Bab Tadmur, Bab Al-Draib, Bab Al-Sbaa, and Al-Mrejeh glass shattered from the bombs and residents saw burning cars in the streets in the morning as if getting revenge from the residents. Most stores have been looted in the middle of the night and their contents stolen. In Deir Balba, several people were sniped, among them one martyr, Khalid Al-Abbou and several wounded. Reports also reached us about the death of martyr Khalid Abdelkarim Al-Raheem, a soldier who died as a result of torture at the Military Security branch because he refused to fire at people. The result so far is the death of child martyr Maymouna Al-Sayed, an 8 year old girl and the injury of several people, among them a woman. In Baba Amr there was a widespread and random arrest campaign that reached any young man present in the neighborhood, after their homes were bombed and their possessions stolen. Tanks are still in the streets of Baba Amr and other Homs neighborhoods. Another noticeable thing around Homs today is that by the west entrance, Tartous road, from the side of the Homs Petrolium Refinery, there was a great number of army forces which weren't in Homs before. It is unknown where they are there. Also, a huge number of forces were also noted this afternoon on the southern entrance of Homs in the direction of the Damascus road. The number of forces is estimated to be over 5000. Homs offered 7 confirmed martyrs on the second day of Eid, mostly the result of sniping pedestrians and random bullets, among them a little girl and a woman.
